Tecta Bentwood Armchair x 2 by Eric Lyons for Packet Furniture 1940s
An Eric Lyons armchair in the modernist style, in fact we have 2. Wonderful steamed bentwood frames with some lovely curves and contours.
The Tecta chair dates from the end of the Utility period and demonstrates awareness of the flowing lines of contemporary continental furniture, particularly Scandinavian and Italian.
The steamed bentwood frame sits firm with day to day marks but nothing off putting. The seats are soft and lumpy and the striped upholstery is worn in areas but usable if you so wish. Our upholsterer would be happy to re-upholster and add new filling for £335 plus VAT per chair. You will require approx 2 to 3 metres of fabric per chair. We are happy to assist in the sourcing of fabric and supply of swatches - the choice is endless. The last image shows one finished for a client.
Price is for 1 chair delivered not 2.
A superbly designed English armchair C.1940 we have a matching pair if you fancy 2.
