Set of 8 Government Issue Slatted Dining Chairs C1940s
A good looking, never easy to source set of 8 (including 2 “Carvers”) slatted chairs in pleasing time worn condition - perfect for a barn, period kitchen, modern kitchen diner or commercial space. An easy on the eye design, a mix of beech and oak with slatted seats and simple back rests and were government and military issues in the day, you’ll note one is stamped GRV 1942 to the underside.
Condition is good - we have plenty of knocks, scrapes and bumps - all part of their history - so best not expect new. One of the chairs has a replaced lower support, not an issue and all chairs sit well and are ready to place. Mark our upholster would be happy to make flat pads for the seats at £55 each plus VAT, you would require 3-4 metres of fabric.
A great looking set of 8 chairs C1942.
