Handsome Oak Art Deco Glazed Bookcase Cabinet C1930

A jolly handsome English oak glazed bookcase cabinet with nice subtle hints of Art Deco. Sometimes Art Deco pieces can look and feel at little OTT however this one possesses some deco accents without looking too showy. The stepped “layered” base is lovely, the 3 lines above the doors just right and the sensible scale perfect.

This one sits well having enjoyed a careful repolish in our workshop, so expect light wear and a good glow, lighter grain and tone to the piece. The top half is with original glass and working lock and key which hides three adjustable oak fronted shelves. The lower half opens by way of 2 doors both with original cast handles and inside we have 2 fixed shelves. The piece sits well with no repairs or faults apart from two small holes in the back of the top half, not new and not particularly noticeable. We have chrome fittings throughout.
