Pair Mid Century Government Issue Bedside Cabinets
Great pair of side cabinets which are dated to the rear 1958 and are government issue for UKAEA. Dated 1958 Enham.
“Enham’s primary focus was on producing furniture for the British military and schools, rather than for the general public. This led to a utilitarian aesthetic, with a focus on durability and functionality.”
Enjoying the simple set up and design lines on these alongside the finger joints to the top of the sides. We have a small inverted plinth with a small cupboard which opens by way of a brass spun knob and a useful small space for books and the like over the top of this. All neat and very much of the era.
Condition is Workshop Preserved
Both cabinets are strong and ready for placing with sensible marks and day to day wear. We have lightly waxed the frames and as mentioned ensured that both are ready to place.
