Cotswold School Long Oak Bookcase C1950

Super quality and design on this Cotswold School English oak bookcase with a long oak railed lower shelf which would be suitable for lighter use, i.e. magazines. This one has been crafted with real care and attention - we have open joints to the lower slatted shelf, a marvellous panelled back, first class choice of timber and a lovely classic simple look, never easy to produce. We would assume a possible commission piece rather than a mass produced bookcase. 

It sits well with sensible aging but nothing off putting and a good lighter tone to the timber. We have carefully cleaned and ensured it is ready for placing. A great piece to display larger books or maybe a collection. 

A wonderfully good quality piece in English oak.
