Attractive Set of 4 Oak Dining Chairs 1940s
A great looking set of English oak dining chairs, the model 3a from the Chiltern range which was overseen by Gordon Russell working with designers Herbert Cutler and Edwin Clinch and made by Moss Partners from 1943 - 1948.
These are super looking with a light oak frame, oak seat rail, and a drop-in seat covered with the original light brown Rexine. The frame of the backrest is curved at the top and has three vertical splats within it; all very English, utilitarian and ever so stylish.
Condition is good and highly original - expect day to day marks and marks, age cracks and wear to the Rexine on the seats. Mark our upholsterer would be happy to reupholster the seats for £220 plus VAT and you would require approx 2 metres of fabric which we can assist in finding if you so desire.
We are liking this set of 4 dining chairs in oak c1940s.
