Arts and Crafts Oak Hall Wardrobe 1910
We have a jolly handsome English oak Arts & Crafts Hall Wardrobe C1910 in lovely aged condition. In the early 20th century if you possessed a large hallway, had a little spare cash you may have decided to have purchased a hall wardrobe for ones coats, scarves and shoes - the one we have for sale is a fine example with a few eye catching features; the row of little bullseye glass lead windows to the top, the “sleigh” style feet, an arched lower plinth, a working lock and key if you own a pair of Church's brogues or the like, a bevelled central mirror, panelled front and crafted in sold oak not veneer.
Condition is good - of course we have sensible historic wear with the odd blemish and nibble or two but nothing off putting. The inside possesses its original hooks, the bevelled glass is crack free and the wardrobe sits firm, heavy and is ready for placing after a session in our workshop.
A fine looking piece of great looking English Arts & Crafts furniture C1910.
