Arts and Crafts Dining Table after a design by Arthur Romney Green

An oak Cotswold School oval shaped drop down/ flap dining table with beautifully chamfered supports, stretchers and base after a design by Arthur Romney Green by craftsmen Rupert/Nigel Griffiths of Monastic Woodcraft of Derbyshire. Monastic Woodcraft pieces were celebrated for their meticulous hand-craftsmanship, relying on traditional construction techniques like visible pegged joints, hand-cut dovetails, and entirely hand-planed. A super looking table which possesses that super lived in look with a paler tone to the oak which works particularly well with this design.

Please note both leaves of the table drop for easier storage or to save space. We would say it sits 6 comfortably.

Ready for placing after a light hand waxing. English oak c1960.
