A Most Handsome Cockpen Chair Early 20th Century

A jolly handsome looking “Cockpen” armchair of distinctive style C1920 and ready for placing. We have always enjoyed the look of these with the bowed front legs, curved front to the seat and the “oversized scale” of the design.

Having enjoyed a sensible refurbishment, this one sits well with its tangerine coloured soft strie velvet seat and good looking sheen to the frame. A couple of good sensible historic repairs but the chair sits very well and is ready for use.

A fine looking chair indeed.
