1950 Vintage Chest of Drawers by Morris of Glasgow
A very tidy chest of three drawers sitting on lightly splayed legs designed by Neil Morris and made by Morris of Glasgow with its very attractive use of Walnut with matched grains to the drawers which is nice. This one possesses a hint of quality and is of good craftsmanship coming from the Cumbrae Range, being a lesser seen version with solid brass spun trumpet shaped knobs.
The chest is sitting in good order with no repairs, wobbles or sways, just light day to day, historic wear. The light birch and beech lined drawers are all closing as they should, are neat and all have the maker's gold printed name to the base.
Lots of uses apart from the bedroom, it would look great in a hallway and is small enough for a side table.
A very smart example from Morris of Glasgow.
