1930s Art Deco Walnut Leather Top 5 Drawer Desk

We have a great looking, one family owned, walnut 5 drawer single pedestal desk, English C1935 of smaller scale and sitting in a lovely aged condition with 2 working keys.

The olive covered leather insert with its walnut surround sits on a combination of one long drawer and a flight of 4 smaller drawers. We have gentle rounded edges and an inverted plinth to the base. All subtle Art Deco features and good on the eye.

Condition is good and original - we have a small number of nibbles and chips to the figured walnut around the edges but nothing fresh or new. The sides and fronts are aged rather than shiny new, which again seems fine. All drawers are running as they should with working locks and keys for the top drawers, a few with internal ink stains. The olive leather insert to the top is aged and worn with a few bits missing but again nothing apart from historic aging. It sits firm and we have ensured it's ready to enjoy. Expect a loved and used piece, certainly not new.
