British Vintage 1940s Glazed School Cabinet Bookcase
This, not too large, 1940s British school cabinet is presented in good historic order and is a little narrower in width than some. It also breaks into 2 if space is a little tight.
This is classic school / government issue – practical, purposeful and functional. The glazed top cupboard houses a number of shelves which are adjustable and the lower cupboard space is split by simple pine shelves inside. It sits in its original varnish with the odd knock and bump to all areas – but nothing ugly or out of the ordinary. The lower back right-hand side has a small piece missing at the base, but again, not a big deal. The cabinet is sitting firm with no wobbles or sways. The glass is break and crack free and the interior smells fine.
We have two of these, similar in style – the other listed has six drawers rather than a cupboard below.
