Pair of Oak 1930’s British Art Deco Bedside Cabinets
A decent pair of oak bedside cabinets surviving from the 1930s with a subtle hint of Art Deco in the design. This pair were sold by William Spriggs of Tottenham Court Road, London with a little emblem in one of the drawers verifying such - a nice touch.
We love the shape – especially the reeded base fronts. The tops have a curved finish to its sides with a little useful drawer underneath lined with black felt. The cupboard opens and closes by way of a little ball bearing at the top of the door with a fitted oak shelf inside - a super little combination. They are in good clean vintage order with the odd knocks however are firm with no wobbles or repairs. We have waxed the runners and given them the once over. We would guess that the knobs are a newer addition.
A great pair of British cabinets ready to place.
Dimensions – Overall: Height 72cm x Width 41.5cm x Depth 34.5cm
