Very Attractive English Walnut Edwardian Claw Foot Stool - Colefax And Fowler Fabric
A well sized early 20th Century walnut foot stool with super shaped legs finished with elaborate ball and claw feet. Presented in rather nice lived in condition with the cushion newly webbed and topped with a Colefax And Fowler spectacular printed floral design, Celestine, which is based on an old Chinoise wallpaper in a wonderfully heavy weight 100% linen.
As mentioned it has that lived-in look with light wear, the odd historic knock and bump and one small piece of scroll working missing. It’s of a good height, great poise and could be used to accompany a piano if you wish. We have bees waxed the stool, giving it a light sheen and it is firm with no wobbles.
