Attractive 1930s English Vintage Oak Cabinet with Waterfall Shelves
A very attractive and compact sized piece from around the 1930s. This one would have started life at a school or library and survives in great, aged condition. It consists of a pair of panelled cupboard doors which hide a fixed shelf inside. The doors open by way of the original handles. You may note a lighter streak on the left door this is just the grain and not a mark. On top of the cupboard is a waterfall shelf very much in the style of the era. Altogether a good-looking little item.
Workshop report - The piece is a golden tone rather than dark and shows day to day wear rather than a hard life. The shelf and top do have a few historic marks which are not off putting and as mentioned old rather than fresh. The inside is clean and tidy. We have waxed the piece and it is firm with no wobbles. Cupboard doors are closing fine.
A rather pleasant piece of 30s furniture which is compact in size perfect for a smaller space.
Dimensions – Overall: Height 130.5cm x Width 80.5cm x Depth 30cm
