Early 20th Century British Work Bench Work Horse – Stunning Original Piece
One of our favourite pieces found on the first floor, right at the back of the workshop, at Albion Street Works, a grade 2 listed building in the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham. This work bench survives in fantastic unrestored condition.
No point in playing around with this piece, just a light brushing down and its ready to display. The work bench was made in house around 1920 was used daily in the workshop, but with the introduction of modern machinery it was discarded to a corner space where we found it.
It possesses bags of personality, lots of scars and marks, wear to the simple pine frame and a real honesty. What you see is what you get with this British piece.
Incredibly good looking and a usable size.
Dimensions – Overall: Height 66cm x Width 98cm x Depth 43cm
Dimensions – Specifically the Top: Width 92.5cm x Depth 27cm
