Vintage 1960s Chrome and Light Purple Drinks Trolley Durlston Designs Ltd
An attractive 1960s drinks trolley by British design company Durlston Designs Ltd of Surrey widely known for their cool looking mirrors and work with Robert Welch. This one is in an unusual mix of chrome and funky light purple Perspex.
The top and base sections of the trolley depart from the frame to give you a useful tray for the serving of your favourite tipple.
Condition wise it’s been enjoyed – the original castors are attached and spinning fine – there is the odd peel to the chrome tubes but the frame remains repair and wobble free. The purple Perspex is scratched to both levels and the bottom level has one of the thin chrome rods missing. The Durlston Designs Ltd logo is present on the underside.
A great looking trolley by a good British designer – not seen one of their drinks trolleys before, very much bang on looks wise for the era…
