A Petite Victorian Two Drawer Writing Desk / Side Table C.1900
This little desk survives in its original condition with decent aging around its edges, the odd knock or bump to the slender turned legs and with pot castors and good looking brass handles, all still in place.
It sits well and is well-proportioned. The slender legs are sitting firm on their aged brass castors and the drawers are running smoothly. We would say that the deep red top is a historic replacement however, it is ageing well and works with the mahogany. Condition wise, expect day to day marks and bumps – no repairs, modifications and sitting firm with no wobbles.
If you are seeking a small desk / table which has not been “tarted up” but left alone to gently age then this could be worth consideration…
