A stunning church plaque which displays a kneeling winged angel her eyes closed and arms gently folded in front of her, we would assume praying. This piece possesses real beauty and gives off a great sense of serenity – this has been achieved from the fine detail of her wings, the gentle folds of her gown and not forgetting the wonderful poise of her hands resting on the alter cloth.
The plaque is a very accommodating size and the condition apart from a light dusting is “as found”. The whole piece is arch shaped and apart from a slight bend in the top right hand corner is very much ready to be hung on a wall or sit on a side table, window sill or shelf.
We were fortunate to have come across a small number of these plaques, however we think she is the most beautiful, having a rather calming aura, as well as the whole piece being very well formed and created.
