A Good Mid-Century Greaves and Thomas Armchair
A rather handsome looking mid-century armchair by British maker Greaves and Thomas and surviving in good original condition. The Afromosia frame contrasts well with the bottle green vinyl and all the tarnished studs are still in place – note the images are a little lighter than in the flesh.
We love the design on this one, decent angles giving it a bit of class and those arms are a classic. As mentioned, the chair survives in good order, our upholsterer has carefully lifted the seat and replaced the Pirelli webbing and added some new medium density foam so your bum will not fall to the floor! The bottle green fabric has one or two little nicks but no rips, repairs or tears. The frame is again in good order with day to day knocks but nothing that’s an eye sore. Its smells fine and is weighty for its size.
A great chance to grab a bit of decent mid-century design at a fab price.
