If you want new, shiny and with lots of moulded chrome, a host of stainless steel screws and a box full of parts left over then you’d best stay clear of this handsome vintage office chair which came from a local factory.
This chair originates from the Faultless Doerner Manufacturing Company of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada who initially made furniture, particularly office furniture. It has been sensibly cleaned of any factory grime to ensure that you get a chair with history and usage marks. The arms are worn with years of someone sitting at the chair as is the rear along with the usual wear marks to the wooden base however it’s perfectly sound and perfectly useable. The black original vinyl has no rips just two small round marks and a teeny nibble on the back on the top right hand side (see picture). The tilt mechanism is working perfectly, and the chair rotates – okay, maybe not at the same velocity has its younger counterparts, but it rotates nevertheless.
