Vintage Hillcrest Swivel Desk Office Chair c1940
Presented as we like them, unspoilt and un-messed around with, this 1940s desk chair with the Hillcrest swivel mechanism looks pretty good. We like the deep bottle green almost black original Rexine cloth covering the seat and rear backrest with the odd nick but otherwise in good condition. Expect day to day marks from usage to the frame.
Workshop report: - The frame has been looked over to ensure it is tight and wobble free, the swivel mechanism has been lubricated, the Rexine fabric has been lightly cleaned and the castors have been checked to ensure they are running free. The frame has been given a light wax and polish to enhance the knocks and bumps. No major work required.
It’s certainly got that late 40s look and is ready to pull up to a desk or plonk into a space.
