A Good Oak Glastonbury Chair
Sitting in good order with a pleasing tone to the oak, this Glastonbury chair was found alongside a rather good looking oak stool which is also available within our collection. The chair is pictured at our recent development of a Georgian chapel and the curves and angles are glowing well against the backdrop of one of its stain glass windows.
Condition wise the chair is good - just the usual bumps and knocks. All the pegs are in place and the legs have a firm footing. No splits or repairs to the oak frame. We would say around 1920s maybe a little later.
