1930s Oak Vintage School Chest of Drawers / Cabinet with Little Cubbyhole
A good aged oak chest of five drawers with a little cupboard forming part of the set up. This one, sitting on four stout oak turned legs is of a practical size with panelled sides with drawers of differing sizes. There is plenty of pleasing wear and tear marks, good aging to the top and numerous historic ink stains inside the drawers and cupboard.
The black painted simple oak handles are a historic addition to replace possible less practical ones – not a big deal, only adding to the character of this one. It’s a heavy cabinet with everything in place sitting firm with no wobbles or sways. There is a very slight historic warp to the top, again, not causing any concern and not particularly noticeable.
Good to find one with some character and with an unusual drawer/cupboard combo.
