A desk rather than a converted dressing table, this oak piece survives in good vintage condition from around the late 50s possibly early 60s. It’s of a particularly attractive design with wonderfully positioned and shaped legs and with the clever use of two tones of wood. The desk also benefits from being sensible in proportions unlike some which can be difficult to accommodate.
It’s presented in good vintage order with sensible day to day marks and one very small chip of about 5mm square in the top of one of the sides close to the back. All the oak turned knobs are in place, all four drawers running fine, no wobbles and it smells fine. The back is well finished so this one could sit in a room rather than against a wall if you wish.
A very attractive English oak desk.
