An English Victorian Oak Chest of Five Drawers
A Victorian chest of five drawers full of true character and use rather than an over refurbished or poshed up version. It’s of a sensible size with a height that would not only suit a bedroom but also a hall or living room and with that pleasing aging and feel that only time creates.
The combination is two drawers to the top with 3 long drawers underneath, with the bottom one being deeper. The original brass handles are wonderfully tarnished and of a strong form and match the overall shape and proportions of the chest. The oak is of a golden colour rather than a darker tone and its heavy, being solid oak, rather than panels or veneer. As mentioned it’s not been spruced up, so it’s got some great wear, the top is marked, the drawers are running fine and again pleasingly aged. No wobbles and smells fine…

All items are carefully packed in house and transported blanket wrapped, secured and insured.
