We have come across a small number of these plagues and will be listing them over the next few weeks. This one depicts Christ carrying the cross and is a very good quality casting (hands and feet are very nice) of good size and pleasant arch shape.
We assume the era is around the 1930s? and other items we have line up well with this. There are the initials H.P on the bottom right of the piece and apart from a light grazing on his thigh the plaque is in very nice order with no cracks or chips. The casting is crisp and we think it looks great, an unusual piece very showable.
It would be look great sitting on a shelf or cupboard. We have very lightly dusted the piece, untouched otherwise
