A set of 4 chairs with a nice hint of the Aesthetic period, with a simple shape and delicate nature inspired carvings. These are in unaltered condition with the bottle green seats having a few of the corners worn however all the coloured flat studs remain intact. Raised on tapered, turned front legs and swept rear legs. The seat rails support the traditional stuff over seats.
As mentioned, the chairs are in original condition, which we like, and are solid in structure with one historic repair to the rear middle cross rail, not a real concern and stable. Surprisingly heavy for their size and smelling fine.
Good to find a set of 4 in their original state – be it a little aged, worn and jaded. Perfect around a table or scattered around the home.
