A Gritty English Vintage 1920/30s Engineers Work Desk

This one was found in a small Derbyshire workshop and was used by one of the engineers. It’s had a pretty tough life but looks incredible with plenty of wear and tear to the thick set frame, echoing its past pretty well. The darkened steel which sits on top is a more recent upgrade and will get more marked, tarnished and tainted depending on how you wish to use it. The drawers with their shaped original handles are running well, be it a little stained inside and we just love the arch acting as a gap for the knees. The desk is firm, no wobbles or repairs and it smells okay.
Overall a really rugged heavy and somewhat handsome desk with some real history. The chair’s not bad either!
