A Good Early 1930s 3 Drawer Industrial Oak Desk

The backbone of many an English office, this 3 drawer oak desk survives from around the early 1930s and is a decent example of its type. The setup is relatively straightforward – 3 drawers with brass cupped handles, a bottle green top all sitting on 4 purposeful legs. This one would have possibly sat in a clerk’s office probably in a government building.
The condition is good for its age – the oak has a pleasing grain and colour, the original brass handles have the GR stamp and the bottle green top is in good order with a small piece missing in one of the rear corners but not a big deal. The drawers are running smoothly – all a little ink stained inside. The legs are firm and the desk frame is repair free.
These are getting harder to find in good condition and this one is a fine workable example.
