Good looking cabinet with the shelf to the back and showing its past well. So pleasing to discover one in oak and pretty much unmessed with. The setup is relatively straightforward with four panelled doors which open out to a one shelf interior each side. This one comes with a raised shelf to the rear for a change.
The cabinet has a bit going for it… it’s narrow, the oak is a pleasing golden tone, the little stout legs are a nice feature and as mentioned it’s not been messed with! Okay, with it having a school background it does have the usual knocks and the odd scratch or two (the number 42 on the top shelf being one). There is a small chunk out of the rear front of the raised shelf which is historic rather than fresh, otherwise its firm. The right hand door is a little stiff and it possesses bumps of the last 80 years or so. Oh yes, one of the interior shelves is a little warped but not the end of the world.
A great looking, genuine and practical piece for commercial or home use.
