This chest of 4 drawers typifies the era well with the curves of the 40s and 50s leaving behind neat lines and a modest design. This one survives in very good order having been a one owner piece rather than having been caste to the shed or barn…
Its sits well with the top drawer being narrower than the lower three with the oak veneer matching throughout the drawer fronts. The trim, oblong gold coloured handles are original with only light tarnishing. Overall it’s been well cared for having stayed in the same place, in one home for most of its life. The top has a raised edge which is a nice touch as are the faintly angled legs. All drawers are running fine with only a few marks to the interior of them. It also smells fresh.
A very smart looking chest of drawers compact in size, of good colour which could easily be placed in a hallway or living room as well as a bedroom.
