A 1940s Vintage Grey Art Metal of London 9 Drawer Cabinet

Surviving in good vintage condition, this 9 drawer cabinet was made by Art Metal of London around the 1940s. The cabinet would have housed files and is well made and weighty. All of the nine attractively shaped metal handles are still in place as is the Art Metal of London pressed metal label at the top on the first drawer. It is presented in a classic mid grey - very much the right colour for the era.
The cabinet does have the usual wear and tear marks for an item of this age - no big dings or dents with slight wear to the drawer edges and wear to the bottom edges which is to be expected, and we would say adds to its appeal… The drawers which are split internally into two are running well and closing as they should. The lock is in place but no key sadly.
Discovered with a number of Art Metal desks, this one has many uses for home or commercial space.
