From the G Plan Brandon Range designed by VB Wilkins who went on to design some of G Plans most iconic and enduring pieces this chest or gents wardrobe is presented in good vintage condition.
It’s a useful combo of tall hanging area to the left and 3 drawers and a smaller cupboard to the right, so a fair amount of space. The hanging area with its telescopic rail and tie rack pinned to the inside of the door which opens by way of a push release mechanism to the top of the door and all drawers and cupboards are working fine, a few marks to the insides. The oak is an even coloured sort of mid-range of shades and apart from the unusual day to day marks (including a small loss of veneer to the lower side about ½ cm wide) not particularly noticeable, it’s looking pretty good and ready to go.
These chest with the combination of drawers would also work in a living space as well as a bedroom. Skilfully designed and well-made range echoing its era well.
