These chairs by Antocks Lairn of High Wycombe are in decent quality dating from around the late 70s early 80s. The leather is supple, thick and of a good grade with the stitching and curved bottoms at the rear all indications of a high level of manufacturing. The smooth, angular, modest frames are well engineered with the bottom of the legs having a chiselled base. They are heavy for the size and very comfortable to sit at.
Condition wise they are pretty good and spot on vintage – the stitched black leather is wearing as it should on the dense seats and backs with only one chair having a small 1.5cm split – not noticeable otherwise day to day marks and creases. The frames are firm showing wear to some of the factory lacquer but again nothing that you would not expect.
These are just great and perfect for home, shop or commercial use.
