Great quality and in that desirable vintage condition with the black leather nicely worn but not too much and the rosewood grain highlighting well.
These chairs by Antocks Lairn of High Wycombe are decent quality dating from around the late 70s early 80s. The leather is supple, thick and of a good grade with the stitching and curved bottoms at the rear all indications of a high level of manufacturing. The smooth, angular, modest frames are well engineered with the bottom of the legs having a chiselled base. They are heavy for the size and comfortable to sit at.
They seem to have enjoyed an easier life than most, with general light marks to the frames which are firm with no wobbles.
These have a variety of uses - would look great in a hallway, good for a desk and to be honest sit well in a living room or apartment…
Smashing quality with good looks.
