1940s Vintage Oak Twin Pedestal Desk in Good Historic Order

This one is presented in great historic order having been spared the sometimes “bull in a china shop” sanding down experiment and most fortunately has survived any attempt at “Shabby Chic”!
Surviving from around the 1940s this twin pedestal oak Abbess desk with its flight of three drawers to one side and filing drawer topped by a single drawer on the other side is displaying its past well. Its two sliding shelves above the drawers are also intact – pleasingly one still possesses the coin and pencil tray with the Abbess signage emblazoned on it.
You are able to see its history – nice wear to the edges and neat oak handles. The original top is in good condition with historic scratches and marks nothing fresh and again pleasing wear to the front with no splits or warping. The drawers are running smoothly with one having an ink stain inside. The desk is pretty much original with no repairs, wobbles, shakes or sways.
The desk is ready to put to purpose after having had a light wax and clean up.
