A fine looking Ebonised Stool from the Victorian Era which is superbly carved with an attractive shape and stance. The upholstery benefits from a new rich woven silk and printed damask style fabric which we think compliments the ebonised frame very well.
Condition wise, the stool is in fine order. The ebonising is of a very good quality, the four legs are repair free and the adjustable part is works well. (I would think that the base to the seat is not the original but you do not see it at all).The middle stem in particular is of fine shape and adds some stature to the stool.
Overall a great little stool in great shape with historic marks from usage looking fresh rather than weary.
