A large Victorian birch chest of drawers comprising 3 graduated long drawers topped with 2 smaller drawers. Presented in original condition, with its knobs and key which, for some reason works the top left hand drawer lock only. It would work at home or in a commercial space, sitting on pad feet with the lower deep drawer forming the lower plinth like many of its era. The chest is sitting firm with the drawers running smoothly, as mentioned the key does lock, however only one of the top drawers. There is a small piece of beading missing to the curve at the top, there is slight bit of cracking to the veneer of the second drawer down and the sides have a historic split which is stable and steady. The brass lock escutcheons are in place apart from the one on the lowest drawer and a little historic worm has been treated as a precaution. Not a bad looking piece of furniture with plenty of room for clothes or even shoes and scarves in the hallway...
