What a great looking Georgian sideboard which has survived in sensible order with marks and age in the right places. We would say it may have enjoyed a country life with a more modest look than some.
We like the simple slender turned front legs, the softly bowed front, the deep side drawers, one still lined with deep sage green parchment, the shiny ebonised knobs match up beautifully well with the little diamond ebonised wood fronts to the key holes. Pleasingly it’s been left to mature rather than endure a big make over…
Condition wise it’s pretty decent for its age - firm in stature, historic worm to the rear (which we have treated just in case) but is not cause for concern, the drawers are opening and closing as they should and as mentioned its showing just the right wear.
This one should not hang around long, a rather charming little piece from around 1820 with plenty of life left in the old dog yet!
Dimensions – Overall: Height 82cm x Width 107cm at Front & 102.5cm at rear x Depth 41.5cm

A true mix of rural charm and gritty industrial which is customer friendly if you care to see the pieces in the flesh.
