An Aesthetic Movement influenced Victorian chest of drawers presented in original condition with its wonderful brass handles and matching escutcheons still intact.
The chest is of two top drawers with three longer drawers below, all the drawers are finished with a reeded design which is pleasingly matched to the front sides and also to the shaped base plinth. The chest is unaltered and untouched and very much in its original condition.
It has enjoyed day to day use and does have blemishes to prove it - the top is marked as is the plinth. There is a small mark of deeper grazes to one of the sides which is historic rather than fresh so not really a big deal as is a small historic repair close to the base at the side. All drawers are running well, no wobbles or sways to the frame and its smells fine.
A very attractive chest of drawers - one family owned, highly original and not too big that it wouldn’t work well in a hallway or living room if you wish…
