A truly original and rather beautifully aged country settle surviving from the 19th century with a nice high back and curved winged sides. Such an accommodating size and delightful shape with lots of paint wear loss in the right places and plenty of crusty build up from years of use. Thanks God it’s survived the stripping tank and the hand of “Shabby Chic”.
Condition wise, this one has been left as found - apart from a light brush down. Lots of historic use and wear where it should be, which is to be expected but its firm and repair free. You could polish it up but we think it sings just as it is!
A striking piece – aching charm and full of desire…
Dimensions – Overall: Height 159.5 x Width 187.5cm x Depth 41cm
Dimensions – Specifically the Seat: Height 43cm x Depth 38cm
