A good Amberg 15 drawer cabinet with tambour door presented in good historic condition surviving from the early part of the 20th Century. Amberg were the quality end of the market in filing cabinets making with the finish, quality and weight bearing this out.
This one is presented in good historic order – nice usage marks to all surfaces with a good all-round patination. The fifteen drawers in three flights of five are all present each opening to reveal filing mechanisms inside, some complete with Amberg’s patent indexes, original to the cabinet and the tambour door is working as it should minus the key.
Without doubt a good looking, quality cabinet in just the right condition.
