Presented in good original order having survived from around the late 1940s this desk armchair by D Matthews & Son of Liverpool is looking a treat. The original deep red studded Rexine seat having been carefully re-webbed and hessianed is reassuringly firm and the frame is glowing with the usual daily usage marks on those wonderfully shaped arms and frame. The deep slightly curved top rail ensures that it is comfortable to sit at and overall we thinks it’s a particularly handsome beast!
Ready to go with no wobbles or repairs just pleasing historic day to day wear.
