A Pair of 19th Century English School Oil Portraits Gentlemen and Lady

We would assume painted by the same competent hand – these are a pair of sensibly sized oil portraits of a gentlemen and lady, maybe husband and wife, maybe a brother and sister or maybe just friends!
Both portraits are skilfully painted with good use of colour and texture. Both are reasonably clean with light crazing to the surfaces. The portraits feel like they could be of landowners, the clothes and those rosy red cheeks, rather than city dwellers however we could be wrong. The matching frames do have the odd chip or two but seem firm enough.
Always pleasing to find a pair of portraits that are of a good size and ready to hang. Perfect for a cottage or perhaps a period home.

We include UK mainland delivery in the purchase price making life easier for clients. We utilise the services of two careful independent couriers. All items are carefully packed in house and transported blanket wrapped, secured and insured.
