1940s Vintage Oak Pedestal Work Office Desk in Good Historic Order

This one is presented in great historic order having been spared the sometimes “bull in a china shop” sanding down experiment and most fortunately has survived any attempt at “Shabby Chic”! It’s been well cared for during its life…
Surviving from around the 1940s this twin pedestal oak desk with its flight of three drawers to one side and filing drawer topped by a single drawer on the other side is displaying its past well. Its two sliding shelves above the drawers are also intact - handy for placing a drink or two on whilst fiddling, sorry filling, the tax return!
You are able to see its history – nice wear to the edges and neat oak handles with stylish bevelled edges to the drawers, the original top is in good condition being slightly lighter in tone and lightly marked with everyday use. The panelled frame is sitting firm on eight stout legs, all felt lined drawers are running fine with the deep drawer having 2 vertical dividers and the great shaped handles are all in place, with the desk having no repairs, alterations or faults. The drawers do have dividers in them which can be removed if you wish.
The desk is ready to put to purpose after a light wax and clean up.
