A Vintage Charles Pollock Knoll Silver Grey Leather Executive Chair

From around the late 70s possibly early 80s this Charles Pollock designed Chair for Knoll is presented in an attractive grey leather.
“Pollock demonstrated his command of line and material when he conceived the 1250 series executive collection, introduced in 1965. His idea for the chair was to use an aluminium “rim,” which outlined the chair as the main structural and design element. This rim would hold the parts together, without any further support; slots in the aluminium held the back shell and the upholstery in place, and the plastic back became rigid only after being fitted into the frame. The resulting design was an achievement in structure and aesthetics, and the chair remains a Knoll classic to this day.”
Without doubt a true classic and presented in good condition. The silver grey leather is hole and tear free, the metal rim is a little pitted but secure, the star base is strong with the swivel working fine (again with marks to the metal strips), tilt tension also working fine. The seat height is fixed at 49cm. The black shell possesses marks from being swivelled however we would say very usable and with that lived in look rather than “mint” condition.
