A Charming and Unusual Pressed Metal Flowered Canterbury Magazine Rack

A scarce and we would assume craft made Canterbury / Magazine Rack, which is festooned with pressed metal flowers and leaves. We picked this one up a while ago from a small Norfolk village farmhouse and to be honest have used it in the office however we think it’s about time to release this charming piece to the world…
It’s made of pressed metal which has the look of wrought iron without the weight or sometimes ruggedness. We would assume it was village or country made and certainly seems to have some age with a pleasing tarnish to the edges, sits strong with no breakages. The black painted oak base nibbled at its edges and sitting on four flat Bakelite disc type feet we would guess are both later additions.
A rather delightful and unusual piece to hold all those mags.
