Striking Art Deco Ebonised Oak Sideboard Tremendous Quality

Okay, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, however what a striking Art Deco sideboard this is - oozing style and quality! Part of a matching set – we have the table and chairs…
We have to say that most of the so called “Deco sideboards” are a little clumsy or the build quality is not the best, however this one is surely close to the premier league and looks stunning in its original ebonised oak?
It comprises of a centre shelved cupboard with double doors which is flanked either side by a further two doors one of which hides a flight of four drawers with original brass handles, a nice touch and look, the other door opening to reveal some useful shelves. The original brass drop handles to the front are wheatsheaf shaped and thankfully all intact - so many times damaged or missing. The quality of craftsmanship is very pleasing with plenty of form and all sitting on those splendid sphere shaped balls.
Condition is good as mentioned, it has enjoyed sensible use and not been shed or barn stored, so smells good and still looks fresh. Obviously it’s been around 80 years so there are light wear marks but not heavy damage. We have lightly waxed it, ensuring that its beauty and historic condition is preserved. No makers mark but we are talking quality!
We think it’s got a touch of the Art Deco Egyptian Revival about it and would look great in a home or commercial space.
