Handsome pair of chairs which possess that useful ability to set the back at 3 different angles: reading the paper mode, listening to music mode and having a kip mode! They are a good looking pair with that lived in look that only time creates. Sitting on four stout legs, the front ones being turned with a semi open side with circle patterns to the insides. The arms are nice and broad - plenty of space for a cup of tea - and the leather front and Rexine backs have the original studs in intact.
Condition wise, they are in sound order – there is a historic repair to the lower front part of the leather on one of the chairs, but no big deal with the Rexine backs rip and tear free. The frames are a good colour and firm. We have steam cleaned the blue feather cushions – one has a repair to the underside, so not visible when in situ. We would be happy to replace the seat cushions with a suitable fabric for an additional cost if you wish. We have lightly waxed the oak frames.
Looking for a pair of chairs with that great lived in look, that are not too precious, then these are worth a look…
Dimensions – Overall: Height in Upright Position 86cm x Width 70cm x Depth 91cm
Dimensions – Specifically the Seats: Height 38cm x Depth 60cm
